01 / Private Garden Patio Setting
Hosted on our private patio tucked in a garden in Lakeside. I maintain a strict 5-seat maximum per session to guarantee an intimate, relaxing experience. With plenty of space to stretch out, focus and create with no frustration of waiting for help from the instructor.
02 / University -Trained Guidance
Led personally by a university-trained visual artist holding a BA in Fine Art from SDSU. Get direct professional feedback on color mixing, brush work, and structural detailing. All supplies and equipment are included in the ticket price, and you take home anything you create.
03 / Creative Freedom & Technique
No cookie cutter copying in these classes. (Nothing wrong with a good paint n’ sip) However, my goal is to teach you real foundational techniques-like watercolor bleeds and brush control- so you can conquer fear of the supplies, play with color, and leave with a piece of art that is 100% yours.

While our signature workshops focus heavily on fluid watercolor play and organic mixed-media textures, I also offer dedicated, explicit technical drawing classes to help you master foundational sketching grids, perspective modeling, and anatomical line work. No matter your current skill level, you are fully welcome and deeply encouraged to pull up a seat on the patio!

The secret to painting artwork that pops off the page isn’t the color you choose—it is your tonal value. This specialized 1-hour workshop strips away the distraction of color to focus entirely on the core foundation of depth: lights, darks, and water control.
Working with black ink pigment, you will learn how to command your water ratio to build rich, deep shadows, and smooth gradients while maintaining crisp highlights. You will leave with a value-scale reference card and the techniques needed to give your future paintings breathtaking structure.

Permission to mess up! Absolutely zero pretty landscapes allowed for this session of pure creative release. This 1.5-hour workshop is designed specifically to break the fear of the supplies by intentionally doing a “bad job.” We will slap pigments down, mix muddy layers, test heavy brushstrokes, and focus entirely on the raw feeling of play rather than the finished product. Perfect for absolute beginners or seasoned creators suffering from intense perfectionist burnout!

Ready to build confidence with your pencil? This specialized 2-hour course strips away the watercolors and focuses entirely on the joy of sketching. You will learn how to break down subjects into basic shapes, practice smooth pencil shading and line work. All skill levels are welcome and deeply encouraged-no prior experience required.

Beginning Watercolor Foundations Class 2026
Ready to break past a single medium and build rich, tactile layers? By popular demand from our previous students, this 2.5-hour class explores the exciting world of mixed media. You will learn how to seamlessly blend fluid watercolor washes, raw physical collage elements, acrylic textures, and bold fine liner linework onto a canvas panel surface. All adhesives, paper stocks and studio pigments are fully provided. Come play with texture and create a truly unique, multi-layered masterpiece!
